Oso berry, also known as Indian Plum, is a shrub that tends to form thickets. The flowers have a faint herbal/spicy scent and appear in late March/Early April as the leaves begin to bud. The berries are edible and have a taste similar to cucumbers. Each berry has a single large and hard seed. The leaves smell like cucumbers if crushed and also taste like cucumbers. However, the toxicity of the leaves is unknown and so they should not be consumed.
