Pacific Bleeding Heart is a perennial low-growing groundcover with delicate lacy green leaves that sprout in late February/early March, and heart-shaped pink flowers that bloom from April until fall, although they may go dormant during a hot dry summer. They spread slowly via shallow rhizomes. The leaves are fatally toxic to cattle and they shouldn't be planted anywhere that livestock graze.
NOTE: These plants are too delicate to ship except when they are dormant. All orders for Bleeding Heart will ship ONLY in March.
